About Us
Our staff are well trained and supervised, properly paid, and afforded flexibility in their working hours. We understand the needs of family and we allow our staff to work hours that accommodate these needs. As a result, we have a very low turnover of staff and many have been at Badgers Holt for some years. This helps significantly in maintaining our consistently high quality of care and exacting standards.
On-going training in areas such as First Aid, Health & Safety, Nutrition, Moving & Handling, Medication, and Safeguarding Dementia patients is provided by recognised institutions such as Brockenhurst College.
As a result, many of our team hold recognised NVQ 2,3 & 4 qualifications.
We have excellent links with the local health service to provide medical care, and all our rooms are equipped with a 24 hour alarm call.
Mrs Theresa Rayner (Proprietor)
Badgers Holt is personally supervised by the proprietor Mrs Theresa Rayner, and with more than 25 years experience she knows how important it is to provide a caring and happy environment for our guests.
Mrs Rayner and her late husband, Fred, took ownership of the home in 1986 and has always strived to provide the best of everything to the hundreds of residents that have called it home over the years.
Diane (Registered CQC Manager)
Diane has been at Badgers Holt since 1996. When she first walked through the door she was struck by how much it felt like a home from home, and she never looked back - supporting Mrs Rayner in her quest to make sure Badgers Holt retains that feeling ever since.
Now the Registered Manager, Diane is responsible for all the day to day running of Badgers Holt, managing all the staff and taking responsibility for each and every resident's well-being. As Diane puts it: “We're one big family”.
